Modders have a penchant for overhauling Bethesda Softworks’ games, and Starfield is no exception. The sci-fi epic has received numerous graphical enhancements, and enthusiasts have showcased just how transformative these modifications can be.
On the YouTube channel Digital Dreams, a video was posted highlighting the stunning visuals of last year’s RPG. The game looks breathtaking, which is expected since it was launched in 8K resolution with ray tracing, DLSS 3 scaling technology, and 50 different mods. To handle such high-end settings, a computer equipped with an RTX 4090 graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor was required. Notably, even with this powerful setup, frame rates in settlements still dropped to 80 fps.
It’s worth noting that Bethesda is also continuously refining Starfield. In June, the company released a significant patch, and at the end of the year, fans can look forward to the Shattered Space expansion.
