Currently, Netflix is in the midst of filming the fourth season of “The Witcher.” At least half of the episodes are reportedly completed, with key actors such as Liam Hemsworth (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), and Freya Allan (Ciri) spotted on set. Meanwhile, the showrunners have wrapped up the storyline for the fifth and final season.
The company officially confirmed the production of the fifth season, announcing that it will be the series’ last. It was also revealed that the script for the final season is already finished. While there might be minor adjustments, significant changes are not expected.
“We have excellent material from Mr. Sapkowski. As long as we stick to the storyline in the books, we’ll be fine,” said writer Steve Varley.
One of the showrunners, Lauren Hissrich, has repeatedly stated that the show’s finale will adhere to the book’s canon. Fans of Andrzej Sapkowski’s work can rest assured that the writers will not alter the plotlines of certain characters.
