Media Reports: Apple is Developing a Budget Vision

Apple has reportedly halted the development of its premium Vision Pro to focus on releasing a more affordable model by the end of 2025, according to The Information.

The company is reducing the number of employees working on the Vision Pro 2 and has informed at least one supplier that the project is on hold. The next model is expected to be a more budget-friendly “spatial” computer, achieved by cutting costs on premium components.

For instance, the new device will feature fewer cameras, a simpler headband, and more basic speakers. However, Apple aims to make these cuts without significantly impacting the core capabilities of the Vision Pro. It’s rumored that the eye displays from the premium version will be included in the budget model. The fate of the external display remains uncertain—whether it will stay the same, be downgraded, or be removed entirely is still unknown.

Neither the name nor the price of this budget model has been officially announced, but sources suggest a target price of around $1500. Even in its budget offerings, Apple maintains a premium touch.

This development is particularly relevant for the U.S. market, where consumers are eager for more accessible high-tech options from leading brands like Apple.
