DxOMark Rates the Foldable Display of the Flagship vivo X Fold3 Pro

DxOMark experts have evaluated the foldable smartphone vivo X Fold3 Pro, subjecting it to a series of tests to assess the capabilities of its primary display. Overall, the device has shown commendable performance in its segment, falling just short of breaking into the top ten leaders of the ratings.

The device features an internal AMOLED screen measuring 8.03 inches, with a resolution of 2480×2200 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an aspect ratio of 4:3.55.

According to specialists, the smartphone performed well. Alongside its strengths, tests conducted under various conditions and usage scenarios helped identify its shortcomings. Among the positives noted were:

  • Good brightness and contrast levels under bright sunlight.
  • Excellent readability in most lighting conditions due to the anti-glare coating, with a peak brightness of 2340 nits.
  • Comfortable video playback in low-light conditions and indoors, achieving a brightness of 1366 nits, though there was a slight decrease in HDR mode.
  • Barely noticeable fold at the hinge due to the anti-glare film.

Among the negatives, experts highlighted:

  • Frequent unintended touches and slightly slower response times than average.
  • Insufficient brightness and detail in shades.
  • Lack of smoothness when browsing web pages.

Overall, the vivo X Fold3 Pro demonstrated solid performance, reinforcing its position in the competitive landscape of foldable smartphones.
