Cooler Master has released a powerful and silent PSU for gaming PCs

Adding to its catalog, Cooler Master introduces the X Silent Edge 850W power supply, featuring a passive cooling system. Targeted at gamers, this new model reduces PC operational noise levels without compromising hardware performance.

The Cooler Master X Silent Edge 850W boasts a fully modular design, support for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, and an ample number of power connectors, including 12V-2X6 for modern flagship NVIDIA graphics cards. Cooling is managed by a set of radiators combined with heat pipes, with the PSU casing itself playing a part in heat dissipation.

According to the manufacturer, the unit delivers up to 450W of power to the graphics card. It carries an 80 Plus Platinum energy efficiency rating and comes with an impressive 15-year factory warranty. Cooler Master acknowledges that the device isn’t entirely silent; at full load, it can reach up to 20 dB, which is at the threshold of audibility and unlikely to stand out amidst the noise from other PC components.

In the United States, the retail price of the Cooler Master X Silent Edge 850W is set at $549.99, though early buyers can purchase it at a discounted price of $399.99.
