Chinese startup Kuaishou has announced a video platform capable of creating high-quality, long-form videos. The AI model Kling aims to compete with the well-known video generation service Sora from OpenAI.

According to initial user impressions, Kling offers similar functionalities to Sora. Interestingly, at the Tribeca Film Festival, renowned directors plan to showcase short films created using Sora.

Kling’s advantage lies in its ability to generate videos in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The maximum video length is 120 seconds. The program excels in handling physical models and more efficiently simulates object movements.

In addition to its generative capabilities, Kling enables complex 3D reconstruction of faces and bodies to enhance human movement simulation. At times, the generative model produces nearly photorealistic videos, such as one featuring a parrot, highlighting the vast potential of this technology.
