AMD Unveils New Ryzen Pro Processors for Laptops

AMD has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the Ryzen AI Pro 300 series, designed specifically for business-class laptops. This new range includes three models that offer enhanced AI capabilities and several features tailored for corporate users.

The Strix Point family of processors supports advanced memory encryption and secure boot technologies as part of the AMD Secure Processor package. Here’s a look at the specifications of the new chips:

  • Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 375: 12 cores, 24 threads, clock speeds up to 5.1 GHz, 36 MB of cache, AI performance of 55 TOPS, integrated Radeon 890M.
  • Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370: 12 cores, 24 threads, clock speeds up to 5.1 GHz, 36 MB of cache, 50 TOPS, integrated Radeon 890M.
  • Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360: 8 cores, 16 threads, clock speeds up to 5 GHz, 24 MB of cache, 50 TOPS, integrated Radeon 880M.

According to AMD, these processors not only outperform their predecessors but also support new AI tools, including features from Microsoft Copilot+, which will be available in Windows 11 starting in November. The company highlighted additional technologies such as real-time generated subtitles, Microsoft Cocreator, and Microsoft Recall. Support for AI functions from other developers, including Adobe, Bitdefender, Blackmagic Design, and Grammarly, has also been confirmed.

The thermal design power (TDP) for the HX models is set at 55 watts, while the Pro 360 can operate with a power consumption limit of 15 watts. HP and Lenovo are expected to be the first to integrate these new chips into their laptops.
